STEVE AND BARBARA MEET TED AND GINGER?
tcchelsey11 April 2024
LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE with a MY THREE SONS slant. There's no other way to describe this outrageous episode. See for yourself.

Steve and Barbara are finally on their own, destination a "quiet" little town in Mexico that has an equally quaint and quiet hotel, fondly remembered from a fishing trip. Writer George Tibbles sets this on full speed cycle... The newlyweds unexpectedly enter a re-vamped tourist mecca for young marrieds --thanks to a trendy magazine. Everything goes haywire, and since Steve and Barbara are the more "mature" couple, everyone comes to them for advice? Just insane.

A clever addition to the story finds Paul Peterson (from the DONNA REED SHOW), now a bit more grown up, cast as newlywed Ted, along with his bride Ginger, played by popular 60s actress Astrid Warner. Comes the best bit, thanks to George Tibbles. It's eventually discovered Steve and Barbara just got married themselves --and can they have some time alone, please?

Look for veteran character actor Nacho Galindo as Pepe. Galindo, for decades, played Spanish doctors, mayors, bartenders and the like in scores of films and tv shows. He got his start in an Abbott and Costello movie, RIO RITA. Also dramatic actress Heidi Vaughn plays Helen.

The gangs all here in one of the best episodes of the season. A classic tv original. SEASON 10 EPISODE 9 remastered/color.
