Far Fetched
Hitchcoc15 November 2021
Of course, every incarnation of CSI has had some pretty far fetched cases. This one is beyond the pale. That aside, and forgetting the old versus new controversy, I find the cast of this show to be really dull. That couple with the big sort of macho guy and the woman he works with is supposed to promote sexual tension, I guess. The problem is I can't understand half of what she is saying because her thick accent and soft voice. There is no real spark. He is supposed to appear shy and clueless (but he supposedly really likes her), but on screen it is vapid. I will give it time. I know it's a new show, but right now I haven't found a character to latch on to.

It's the bee sting that will get you

The weakest main crime so far, the characters were lifeless and the big reveal was modern but odd. The subplot with the OG CSI is coming along and I'm interested to see where it leads.

If they were real CSI's/Law enforcement this would've been solved in the first 20 minutes.

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!

If they were real detectives the first thing they would've done is spoken to those who worked with the victim.

They would've separated the top employees and spoken to each of them, asking about the victim and her day to day, if anyone had issues with her, her personal life, her work.

They arrested a suspect based on ATM footage of him holding the murder weapons. They know the victim scratched her killer on their left forearm, which the man they arrested did not.

ATM footage showed the suspect wearing a 3D printed mask, which is why they arrested the wrong man. ATM footage was in black and white and yet they managed to zoom in to the mans eyes and it showed one brown eye (contact lense) and one blue, but the man they arrested has brown eyes.

Used footage from the ATM to figure out how the suspect walked, used footage from an office party to look for a suspect.

Rightly found the killer but needed DNA, instead of making an arrest they chose to go to his office, find his jacket, find a stinger on the jacket, collect that for evidence. Then give it to Grissom to identify, said they only come from Red Rock (victims mother lives there), went hive hunting and found the burnt mask but were able to pull epithelial cells off it.

They should've left this franchise alone.

Okay, okay, we know how "old time" CSI viewers feel

This is a new CSI: Vegas and you need to keep this in perspective. Of course having Gil and Sarah involved helps, and Hodges in trouble add to the complexity, but this is a new series! It is not, unlike the moderately successful X-Files with the original cast. It will take time to develop.

The thought of seeing some of the original cast making an appearance adds interest, and I would like to see it happen. But, keep in mind this is a new series and it will take time to develop. I like what I see so far, and assuming the added technology won't get in the way of old fashioned police investigative work, I am willing to give it a chance. How about you?

Not impressed

Warning: Spoilers
I simply don't care for it. Some might and that's fine. I find the way they are solving cases, simply unbelievable. A runny nose leads to a bee stinger which leads to a bee hive near the suspect's mom's house, which leads to a small area of disturbed soil, which leads to a burnt piece of material, that the CSI team determine to be a mask. Even though the mask has been burned, there are still DNA cells. Sheesh.

When the good old artists leave the show...
wkin23 October 2021
What's going on with these new TV shows? Where are the good actors? Once the renowned actors leave the show, it no longer holds. The new team is horrible. The team leader is a horrible artist, with no charisma. Well .. It's not all bad, the soundtrack is cool. OMG I miss the good series.

Miss the OG cast

I really do not care about those 2 new CSIs becoming a couple. I feel like that storyline is being forced down our throats and I literally could not be less interested in it. I'm really only watching for the Hodges storyline and bc of Gil and Sara. I really hope Hodges wife doesn't end up being behind this bc it seems so obvious. So hopefully it will be somebody we wouldn't expect- maybe even the lawyer who is now defending all 8,000 cases? Some kind of twist at least. I would love to see Catherine or Greg or Nick or even Ecklie make an appearance! Or even some of the old techs like Wendy or Mandy or Henry etc come back and just check in on Hodges and help out on the cases they worked with him. Anyways, not loving the new stories/ cast but enjoying watching Sara and Grissom and it was fun to see him do his entomology stuff again.

you can keep the mumble couple, we want ..
joulesrawlings21 October 2021
Our original cast back. I feel sold a serum by a snake oil salesman. The acting sucks, the cinematography sucks, the writing sucks, and the budget sucks. The only good thing you have right now is your history. Can we please have Greg Sanders and Catherine Willow back?
