Is this show really necessary?

The thing I find most interesting about all of these "how to get your house to sell" shows is that for all the work and expense that people go through to make their house more "sell-able" it never seems to work. Listen to the comments at the end of any of these shows. It's always, "They're still waiting for the right offer to come in," or "Four weeks after our redesign the owners are hopeful they'll be selling soon." Well heck, that's what they were doing before they were on the show, so what did they accomplish? If you think about it, staging your home is meant to distract potential buyers from the negatives and make them concentrate on the way the furniture looks, when any buyer with half a brain will know to look past paint colors and furnishings which are not part of the sale, and concentrate on the structure itself.

But all that aside, "Real Estate Intervention" is an annoying show, mainly due to Mike Aubrey. I don't know what it is about him, whether it's his deep voice, that "weird" mustache as mentioned in the other comment, or the fact that he always has one hand in his pocket, but he puts everyone he meets on the defensive from the minute they meet him. If he ever came to my house I'd probably end up socking him in the nose.

Sabrina Soto, on the other hand, is so friendly that even when she's insulting your decorating skills you want to hug her. She and Mike are an odd team, with her being so diplomatic and him being so antagonistic, and it just doesn't work.
