Justice for Courtney Copeland
natashawillslgcu14 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Courtney drove to a police station after he was shot. The police did not assist him. He was left laying on the ground without any medical assistance. When the ambulance arrived, Courtney wasn't taken to the nearest hospital. Medical professionals at the hospital where he was taken stated he was in handcuffs. Not sure what the previous reviewer is taking about regarding negativity of the episode regarding police and how the police dealing with higher crime rates. That's nothing but an excuse. There is an obvious issue with how police are trained to de-escalate situations. Dateline was shining a light on that as this was not the only episode regarding police interactions. Courtney went to the police station for help and didn't receive it. There is a possibility he could have been saved if he had immediate medical attention.

Horrible episode
QuackQuack29 June 2021
This particular episode is just a political rant about the police in Chicago. All negative comments. NBC doesn't address the fact that the cops in Chicago are dealing with an epidemic of crime. They can't possibly follow up and solve every shooting and murder, when they are occurring at the rate of dozens per week. This wasn't a true Dateline episode, but just another one of NBC's biased views that they are famous for in their news department.
