WTF is going on with this show?
edwardhutchinson9 March 2022
This and the last episode have been absolute garbage. Too bad, I loved this show but these last episodes are really starting to turn me off. As I'm writing this a 4.2 rating for this episode is generous, even my 3 is a bit generous.

I'm very forgiving of filler but..
squallsrapture9 March 2022
The last 5 minutes are all you need.

To follow up the incredibly emotional, dynamic episode of Layton v Pike with.. this weird fever dream alternate universe star trek TNG holodeck episode was a really weird choice. This kind of pedantic, wiriters having fun, episode is fine when you get 24 episodes a season. But come on writers you have 10 episodes to woo us, and there's this whole plot thing to get to.

On the upside it seemed like the cast had a blast filming it and that makes it tolerable. But it dragged.

This show has become so boring and generic.
Mish_al8 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was a chore to watch. The writing this season seems so generic and empty. It feels like it's written by robots who watched a thousand hours of the most generic TV shows.

I know what they have planned, to get to New Eden at the end of the season and see whether Layton got lucky or not. But why is it taking so long? If they didn't have a good plot they could've not let the pirate train get back with the main train until Ep. 4 or 5, and did something more interesting.

We all knew since the end of last season that Melanie is alive, why not give any hints or foreshadowing about her plot before this episode? Why not show us what Asha went through in the bunker or how she survived for 7 years in more detail? Why not explain who the Marauders are? Just give us anything interesting instead of boring dialogue that barely advances the story or has any intrigue. This episode was 45 minutes of filler and one little interesting line at the end of the episode (which everyone already knew).

Also, they really need to kill off Layton, he is very unlikable and ruins the whole show. I hope he gets killed or thrown off the train when they find out New Eden is a lie.

Too bad one of the best characters, Melanie, in this show is barely getting any screen time the last 2 seasons...

Sigh....
marymcfarland-018668 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First they kill of Pike which was irritating enough, but then they follow that up with this nonsensical coma dream stupidity? I mean seriously. This was a terrible episode. Everything about it was simply awful...dialogue, filming style, the entire premise... ugh.

Eh?

What kind of nonsense are the writers up to? It's episode 7 and they do a dream/fantasy episode, not cool. Can we just bring Melanie back and get on with things?

by far the worst episode of the series
asmhacker8 March 2022
5 seconds in and i already had this gloomy feeling in my gut, seeing numerous shows go down similar paths of what i can only describe as parodys of themself.. either by dreamstate or in other meta ways like a show inside a show. Clear warning signs that a show is going down the pipes and something that legends of tomorrow has mastered for at least 5 seasons by now... tragic filler episode that devalues the entire show.

Why do they all have to have a dream scene.
baldrics-974-4602708 March 2022
Omg I thought that this was a hackneyed useless trope. Why do writers have to do the dream or fantasy episode? I find them a waste of my time and diminish the series. Lazy plot theme.

Writer's block? The dream sequence is stupid and boring.
barbararush-958308 March 2022
Who wrote this drivel? Who thought it was a good idea to bring the story to a screeching halt and throw the train off the tracks with this stultifying episode? I'd rather go on a trek with Melanie in the snow than watch this again.

Totally useless episode
nbdeclan8 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Was Layton gonna die? From the second we heard 'he has a weak pulse' it was obvious he wouldn't die.

The rest of the episode was just a dream, didn't affect the story in any way, shape or form.

Not the best episode but still better than most of this season
m-rugen15 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This season as most of you agree has been completely lackluster. Melanie being gone and Wilford being irrelevant has given us not much to look forward to. When I saw how bad these reviews were, I was gearing up for a horrible time watching this episode. But, in fact, this was actually probably the episode that held my interest the most. Discovering new characters within familiar faces allowed me to experience the show from a whole new point of view. While also having quite a few important storylines outside of the coma sequence, such as Audrey maybe not being a total nut, Zarah and Josie reconciling, and Wilford discovering that Melanie may actually be alive; the coma storyline was still quite relevant. We knew that Layton was aware of his lie to the train about New Eden but we didn't know it was to this extent. Yes, it's a filler episode, but quite an important one at that. I'm surprised that the people that dislike this season disliked this episode. I assumed that like me, this episode would have been a refreshing change of pace from the lackluster season we've all watched thus far. I went into this episode thinking it was going to be horrendous but I was pleasantly surprised, and tonight's episode is now my most anticipated episode of the season. For anyone who reads this while binging the show in the future, or is a week or more behind like I was, please, ignore the 4.1 it currently has. It's not a bad episode at all.

Garbage writing.
timone-shimone9 March 2022
Sean Bean as always is a pleasure.

Was a terribly written filler episode. Was a disservice to the actors more than anything, asked them to do ranges they couldn't do, except for Javi. Really embarrassing episode to see.

Wow! Why all the bad reviews!!
ruthburley10 March 2022
I was thoroughly entertained with this episode. Love all the campy characters! Very fun! I enjoyed the dream sequence too. An interesting & creative way to stretch the actors' abilities.

I love the show... But...
engwaerin8 March 2022
I'm utterly disappointed :( this episode was BAD. Me and my mate couldn't sit it through and we are huge fans of the show. Please, don't ruin this show with such bad episodes, please..... Where is Melanie and why are they not in Eden yet? Show's going nowhere since a few episodes back now :(

Writers should be punished
miroslav-yanakiev11 March 2022
Absolutely awful episode. Out of context and waste of time. Its like they are purposely trying to ruin the show. We are 7 episodes in and there is no proper storyline in sight. Such a shame.

Thank you everyone
vdoman9 March 2022
Before the opening credits finished, I immediately recognized a fantasy sequence. I hoped it was only the opening, so I skipped ahead a little only to find more. So I jumped on here and read the comments. Thanks for keeping me from wasting my time on a garbage, confusing episode that is useless to the plot. I scrolled to the end and watched the last five or so minutes.

I hate fantasy, dream, drug induced sequences. I feel fooled as a viewer. Like the writers think they are just so cleaver to get one over on us. These and music montages always signal to me that the series has run out of ideas, out of steam... or the obvious metaphor in this series - off the rails.

Another bad waste of an episode
jbistiz8 March 2022
They clearly had to plan for a direction for Season 3, this is some terrible writing. Now we went from having a random vision/dream about a tree that came out of nowhere, now we're having a whole dream episode. 🙄

What the heck is this?
ThorMelsted8 March 2022
This is a non-episode. Pointless. Ridiculous. Waste of everyone's time.

A dream episode with virtually nothing advancing stories or characters.

It's worse than the musical episode of Fringe.

How was this allowed to go forward?

This season is going downhill
blobby-520249 March 2022
Seems to be getting worse by the episode. They are dragging out plot developments and shoving it full of useless stuff no one cares about. A massive contrast from previous seasons and even eailer in this one!

Writers need to get in gear.. I really hope the next few episodes are better.

Someone used the wrong script
Adriaan618 March 2022
This was....eh, what? Who wrote this episode? Someone from the catering? Get it back in line with the story. This was ridiculous . The show has potential but not with this kinds of episodes. This looks more like a bad trip on Doom Patrol.

The episode was fun!
eve_delores8 March 2022
That was unique; seeing the world though Andre's comatose state and then through those that care about him. For me, another good episode...enjoyed the idea.

What was that !!!!
Scar3820 March 2022
I've defended Snowpiercer for a while now, even though some episodes have been on the boring side I've given it the benefit of the doubt, but I can't defend this one, it's boring and I couldn't get into it at all.

I hope the show picks up again for the last few episodes because the ratings are alarmingly low.

Bad episode
sunsetswift8 March 2022
Every once in a while snowpiercer manages to put out an episode so bad i want to stop watching the show. Please abolish the Audrey storyline it's getting crazy. At this point this show is including telepathy magic and god-knows-what. The writers need to step outside and touch some grass and stop doing so much drugs.

Terrible
moaeed_12312 March 2022
This whole season has been trash but this one episode wanted me to stop watching. From start to finish this episode was just nonsense. You could literally watch the following episode and watch the recap it gives before the episode starts and you will have missed nothing.

Episodes Like This Hurt a Series
djjc20019 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
If you have people who are on the fence, episodes like this will make them stop coming back. No idea what they were even attempting to get out of it but it definitely felt off brand to the series as a whole.

Coma/dreams/hallucination episodes are trite and need to stop happening.

Bad Episode
hoehnandi14 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed the first and second season of this series. The third one was kind of meh for me until now.

But the last two episodes were just bad in my opinion.

The writing feels really off, the way the charackters act is incredibly weird and forced. Charackters suddenly loosing it just because the show needed a new antagonist while Wilford isn't available. A dream sequence/near death experience that is just plain bad. There are no real stakes, the plot isn't progressed in any meaninful way.

I really hope these episodes are just the calm before the storm. Otherwise this series is going downhill incredibly fast.
