Boxing History
spider_mike-124 May 2010
I received a copy of this documentary from my parents. Really a great time capsule of boxing history that should be a must see for fans of the fight game and it's past. As for the central fighter, Art Hafey is a man of few words and one can't help thinking that time and other factors somehow cheated him of his ultimate goal in the fight game. Although I suspect he wouldn't come out and say so as he seems a man of great dignity. This is a fine documentary that deserves a better fate, which is to be aired on CBC in Canada or even discussed on an HBO telecast of Boxing. But then like Art's career in the ring, maybe there will be no crowning glory for the film either.

An absolute MUST for boxing fans!

Brad Little did an amazing job bringing Art Hafey to the forefront of recognition he deserved. For all the boxing fans of years past, this documentary exposes the corruption in the boxing world and how real world champion fighters were allowed to fall through the cracks to the detriment of the sport.. for monetary gain.. It was about corruption and money that took the front seat to true champions and skill in the sport. Art was robbed and never received the accolades he "earned". Watch this film.. you won't be disappointed. Its a remarkable story.. of a remarkable fighter! Well Done Brad Little!
