Cheers was slightly before my time, but given its iconic status thought I'd give it a go. Sure it has aged poorly in some spots, but I like Cheers and can certainly see why it was popular.
Because I'm a completionist, I thought I'd give the spinoff The Tortellis ago.
... it isn't good. Episode 2 just meandered around with unlikeable characters before a half-assed attempt at the 'pretend to be my boyfriend' bit. I was amazed at how unfunny it was.
The choice of spinning off two pretty ordinary characters was a poor one, and no wonder it failed.
