China town vs vampires
ArchieIsCool19 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
What an awful film! Terrible lighting and acting and the DVD cover is so misleading it looks like the actor who did Priest (there is no one in this movie like that).

It starts with a hit man killing a few baddies and then his next job is to kill something entirely different a head vampire who looks like Pete Burns!!! The lead actor is emotionless throughout the movie, when he meets "Pete" the vampire he tells him everyone he comes into contact with will die by his hands.

Now comes the bar with other Chinese characters who end up having to help kill vampires helped by the owner of the bar who has these Chinese death certificates which if you stick it on their forehead they die and then you dismember them.

There is a lot of blood splattered and killing but it was all too messy a total waste of time.

A good cure for insomnia

A contract killer finds himself up against a Chinese vampire and its minions in China Town. These vampires are different to the European ones, to kill them a death certificate needs to be placed on their heads and they then need to be dismembered using blessed sharp instruments. Sounds quite good but sadly this movie is abysmal. The picture quality is awful, very grainy and incredibly dark. This often makes it difficult to see what's happening. The sound is also very poor. The main vampire speaks in English but subtitles are used as his mumbling is impossible to understand. Dialogue is sometimes drowned out by the heavy metal score. The acting is very bad. There is a lot of gore but it's very cheap looking (when it can clearly been seen) plus plenty of non exciting action. The guy who made this is obviously a Tarantino fan as he has "borrowed" a few of that director's traits. IMDb shows an incorrect running time of 2 hrs 24 m but my DVD clocked in at 1 hr 45 m, which is 105 minutes too long. I could feel my eyes starting to close a few times watching this utterly boring and badly made garbage. Quite possibly the worst vampire movie that I have ever seen and I have seen a lot!

Grindhouse wannabe
vmalast11 October 2019
This is a, I'm trying to be Quentin Tarantino and make an Asian Grindhouse movie. It fails on all accounts. It's just trying way to hard and comes across as a bad, 70s style, semi martial arts film. I had to stop and make sure this was made in 2010 and not 1970 something. It would probably make a great drinking movie.

This movie is amazing.

You have to see this,It has intense gunplay and sheer violence.

There is a contract killer and a crime boss who says he is God Of Vampires !

There is such atmosphere,The film looks authentic and yet We knew it was made on these shores. The violence and makeup effects MUST surprise you,If You're living and breathing.

The plot totally bring you into a 'J-Horror atmosphere'.

Midnight Releasing has another Genre Buster on their hands,Lets get this into Red Box and Netflix asap !!! FRANK NG lives to battle Vampire Gangstas another night.
