How dumb are the writers? At 10,000 BC the Ice Age was already long over and the planet was warming and would soon enter the Holocene Climate Optimum was a warm period, warmer than today that occurred roughly between 9,000 to 5,000 years BP, with a thermal maximum around 8000 years BP. The whole thing is so dumb.

Funnily enough we just saw the series finale of Lost yesterday and that show is above this one as we are above the amoeba. Try as they might ( even mentioning the show twice now ) the generic characters and mediocre acting on this show pale next to the characters of Lost. Looks like they maxed out their etch a sketch CGI budget because we haven't seen one of the laughable looking prehistoric creatures for several eps now. The two sons ( especially the good one ) wanting to send their mothers out into the wilderness was the epitome of terrible writing. They're not going to stay at a Best Western but be in danger from prehistoric CG.......uh I mean large prehistoric predators. Also it looked like the mother and son were buried under a mountain and not two concrete slabs. I really don't know where this show can go but it's questionable we'll be along for the ride if it continues like this.

Mom risks her life to save son, who all along shows how much he loves his mom. Mom again makes a choice to prevent son from dying and, with absolutely no ability to understand and empathize with that choice, he votes to banish said mom, condemning her to what would likely be her death.

How bad can a show get ??? How dumb can people be.... ( talking about the writer not the people in the show ) you can tell this is Hollywood writers doing this cause they have no clue wha to really do in a crisis... their child like reasoning and problem solving just tells me how dumb these people writing this show really are... ( in my best double blond voice ) omg like...we can have the son like banish his own mother...like for no reason what so ever like...OMG how fab would that be...seriously how dumb are these writers. Then omg let's toss in the ice age..again writers only having a child like idea what happened in the past...NO RESEARCH WHAT SO EVER... again this also proves my point I made in a other review about how she looked up at hills and said we are in Hollywood ... first the ice age ended before 10,000 if memory serves...but even if it didn't it would have cause landscape changes that would be unrecognizable today... again bad writing bad story telling and awful actors...

What more could you want? A plot? It's like watching a train wreck. You turn to find something that you'll like better then you realize unless you want to watch a rerun of one of your favorite shows then this is it. There's just not anything good on right now. I'm just torn whether to wish for a season 2. On one hand if there was not a 2nd season I wouldn't even miss it but on the other hand if there was then I know I'd watch it just to continue laughing at the horrible writing, acting and overall silliness of the whole show.

This show keeps getting better and better, if better is the cheesiest dialogue and story line ever created. By this point, these people have been run through a gamut of crazy scenarios, but they all look as though they just stepped out of wardrobe. What makes this show so much fun is I can sit and make fun of everything and laugh. I feel for sure it was not created for that purpose, but I strongly believe they should create an Emmy for this show; "Best Comedy Trying to be a Drama." Watch this show with a friend so y'all can feel great about your life.

Nice how you could see the daughter has both legs back all of a sudden. What's the matter NBC ran out of cheese money? The plot line is falling apart, and why are the people still milling about like zombies were they extras for walking dead and that's all they know how to do?
