The attack of the phone mast!
Rabical-918 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The installation of a new phone mast in Govan has caused consternation amongst the locals, who have been suffering from endless headaches since it was fitted.

Concerned for public health, Rab confronts the conceited head of Go Phone ( the company responsible for the mast ) and demands that the mast be removed. The locals however are just interested in receiving compensation. Rab gets his way and the mast is duly removed but the greedy locals are less than happy when they discover that they are not to receive any compensation...

'Signal' is a vast improvement over the previous episode. I liked Rab being the hero, particularly in the scene in which he scolds the head of Go Phone by telling him: ''I cannot prove to you that phone masts harm people, but you cant prove that they don't!''. Good work from Elaine C. Smith too. When the others pour scorn on his concerns, Mary immediately jumps to Rab's defence.

Sanjeev Kohli, best known as Navid from 'Still Game' is seen briefly as one of the Go Phone employees.

Funniest bit - at the pub, Jamesie expresses concern that radiation of the phone mast could have an effect on reproduction. ''We could start breeding mutants!'' says Jamesie. ''And how would we be able to tell?'' asks Rab as he indicates to a table of retarded people!

Second funniest bit - Jamesie, upon learning that he wont receive any compensation, angrily smacking Andra in the face. When Andra protests, Jamesie explains: ''I need a scapegoat but if I hit Rab, he'll gub me!''
