Crash Test is a perfect mix of action, technical stunts, and science! I was on the edge of my seat for the whole hour. Unlike many Spike shows, the cheese factor was quite low.
The show featured three distinct story-lines and the crew was ready to find the truth. Jack and his team of experts were able to first solve the mystery of a paralyzed girl on a water slide. Where most investigators would give up, Jack stayed on the case until he figured out the missing piece. Either that, or he wanted to see the stunt girl in her bikini for longer, which made great television.
The second story was also interesting as the crew was able to jump an SUV over an 8 foot fence and entire house! Good thing it cleared the house, otherwise they would have had to build another. Taking the excitement level up a notch, and actually send a driver to crash into the house. I enjoyed seeing the special rigging used to protect the driver. The biomedical scientist was confident enough in his equipment to leave it in the house to take measurements and was able to bring science into the program. It was cool to see the science behind the impact as well.
The third story was also very interesting where a tornado blew a man out of a trailer a quarter of a mile. What a wild ride that the stunt man got to go on!
Jack and his crew were able to keep everyone safe through some pretty remarkable stunts. I can't believe they were able to do such dangerous stunts without being dropped by their insurance company!
