Episode 1308
bobcobb30131 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Finally, a little bit of excitement around NCIS: Los Angeles here. We had a kidnapping, we had trouble south of the border, we had shooting. It had all of the stuff that happens far more often on TV than it does in real life (or at least I hope) so they were setting things up for a good hour of TV.

For the most part it was fine, but they didn't really have an ending here. It felt very anticlimactic when it happened. And then once again they ended things with a dull Kensi and Deeks conversation. That couple used to be can't miss, but now their scenes around the baby and else are almost must-miss.

Those using the word "woke" are the story.
mjackiw-165-31389614 January 2022
You can tell what an excellent episode it was by the people crying "woke", because they are who the episode was about and what's wrong in the country. An excellent story about white fanatics who believe conspiracy theories and lies, hate people who are different, and are a danger to all, and the victims of their hatred.

Wonderful episode 👏

About time a program underlined the danger of vigilantism when it comes to, so called, border control. No one is above the law, as much as these type of people, and you know what I mean, try to take the law into their own hands. This could be seen, and is what could be called domestic terrorism. Happy this has been highlighted in this episode.

As always, NCIS: LA is full of twists and turns, this ep is no exception. Great storyline, great acting, great message. Been watching with great interest as the storyline has meandered towards something more poignant, but overall, a great episode of a great series.

It's over....
robertjc-214 January 2022
This show has run its course. They've run out of story lines. So now every week we are captives of nothing more than virtue signaling. They canceled the wrong ncis. Should have stuck with New Orleans at least that was a great City to look at. This show is done. And I think I'm done with it.

Taking The Easy Way Out...Again
LJEANH17 January 2022
I have two issues with this episode... 1. Same old...same old.

We've seen the Mexico/Rescue/Cartel/Illegals storyline quite a few times. Why can't we get some fresh ideas out there?

2. Bad white American soldiers.

Why not tell the story of how the Cartels use and abuse those crossing our border illegally? Why not tell how Coyotes abandon their charges or kill them outright? Why not tell how nationalities other than Hispanics cross our border illegally? Nope! It's more acceptable in Hollywood to make America the evil ones.

I'm so disgusted with this season of LA. Might be time to ditch this show. 😢

WHY is this Racist Nonsense Even Allowed on the Air?
man-9651311 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
If this is an indication of future episodes, then CBS needs to put this series off the air. It is one of the most profoundly disturbing episodes I have seen on television in longer than I can remember.

The writers of this big stinking pile of "civics lesson" need to be terminated... and never ever write anything again. Nothing is less entertaining than a "soapbox". This episode strays so far from what the NCIS actually does it is preposterous. Poorly written, one dimensional cartoonish characters.

Note to CBS a lot of your loyal fan base for this show are older and former servicemen. When you depict servicemen as clowns and buffoons... you are insulting the major supporters of this show.

I've watched and loved this show for years but it is becoming nothing more than a woke P. C. Vehicle for the liberal elites!!! Get back to writing the great scripts of the past and leave all this nonsense to others!!!!

Could have been, should have been better.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was just OK, the story with kensi and the smuggling ring wasn't bad it was interesting story. But the episode had too many misses that it hurt the episode. The first thing was that callen wasn't around, this kind of episode with one of the team members in danger, could have been opportunity to a good action story like they did in previous seasons. One of the greatest strength of the show is the relationship of its members, the family they built the friendship, Seeing Callen, Sam and Deeks looking for kensi is great story. When Callen wasn't around the story felt lacking, and the action wasn't good either. If they knew that they can't get one of the leads in this kind of a story, why not wait to tell the story with everyone to get better episode.

Fatima was shoot 3 episodes ago why we are still talking about it? On this show characters got shoot, characters got kidnapped tortured ,they never talked about that for more than one episode. Like move on already she is federal agent getting shoot is part of the job.

deja vu
Maroo1510 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Now I am officially mad and jealous of the way they always portray Kensi VS Deeks. They always manage to downplay his hurt and suffering to the lowest point possible and only for a little time just to get back to the usual and use him for comic relief or the butt to their jokes. When he got shot we only saw the hurt for one episode and also after Mexico, everything went to normal like he wasn't suffering from a head injury(which in my knowledge takes a lot of time to heal and is more serious) and he like he wasn't mentality suffering from the backlash from both Mosley&Kensi and the lack of support from his teammates. ( You know what annoys me, nothing happened after this episode, no recovery, no setback, just normal life, UGH) And when he got tortured they soft-pedal his injuries and the mental scars of the incident and he was in the field after to save the day only to be mocked by Sam and to be left alone for his suffers. Hell, he even felt guilty over the way he talked to Kensi and tried to console her. From all these, we have never seen the impact of the events on him whether mentally or physically they wrap up the story is they can move on.

While Kensi we have already seen her PTSD twice one after the torture and the second when she was paralyzed. Now, it's the third time to play with her PTSD because of Kessler & the fertility and she always takes it on Deeks whether it's right or wrong while she seems okay dealing with others "Sabatino, Sullivan" Even when she got shot wearing the vest they took 2 ep to play with her injury and her suffering in S3. They always take the time to illustrate her suffering in-depth and through many episodes, hell through many seasons may I say.

While Deeks only has one shot and the TPTB feels like they do not need to go to the depth of his character or if he still held any resentment against his teammates or if he is mentally okay to proceed with his job. Now we have a mentally ill Kensi which has been going on for 3 seasons now because of the baby and Kessler(Which IMHO it's not only affecting her) and soon we will get that she is being hurt physically again.

While Deeks's feelings and emotions are swept under the rug. Honestly, wasn't he was the one with the nightmares and he admitted more than once (S7&S11) that he wakes up screaming, what did Kenzi do to help him out through that? Or it's also one characteristic that gets forgotten and used only for dramatic effect?

They even de-emphasize his victories like when he got his badge no one was around to congratulate him or even heard about a celebration that went down to honor him, and when he makes a breakthrough on a case they always find a way to belittle and disgrace him even in fight or shooting scenes, while Kensi always gets the appraisal, the support, and the acknowledge from both her husband and her team as she can take care of herself.

I'm well aware that we don't know anything about the storylines and how they will play them out and it's only speculations but I can't help it, my mind only works that way.

She is being selfish and pitying herself. And he always put her above him

I hate that they always downplay his hurt and his injuries, last year he has a broken rib, and the next day he was in the field saving Sam's daughter and Kensi argue with him (it doesn't make sense)

I have the sense of Deja Vu, they didn't need to hurt her physically only made her in a dangerous situation, but the damsel in distress is getting old, and why it has been her all times. Why does it have to be Kensi in danger and Deeks freaking out and then taking care of her, I think you milk it since S02, then with Blye. K, then Afghanistan the whole accident in Syria and Sullivan, and then again with Kessler last year and the whole IVF treatment, we have seen repeatedly couldn't you try to reverse their roles for once.

Warning: Spoilers
Pretty obvious that this episode didn't happen in 2021 or 2022 since there would be no need for the coyote's. I think the whole NCIS franchise is going down hill.
