I'm shocked that Black Diamonds doesn't have at least a 9 star rating!! This is one of, if not the most touching film I've ever seen. The two main characters are incredibly likable and easy for audience members to relate to. Their youthful innocence, enthusiasm and drive to better their lives and the lives of their family is something we've all felt, even just for some part of our lives. This film explores what depends on the realisation of the dreams that these boys have to make it to playing football professionally in Europe. What happens to these boys in their journey to football stardom speaks so much to us about what is happening to so many boys who are scouted and brought to Europe today. An uncomfortable but amazing movie experience.
