Curiosity Shows the Ruins and Ruins the Show
WeatherViolet21 October 2010
First, in the City, Curious George celebrates his second-favorite holiday (after his birthday), Sauce Day, the first Monday in February, when Chef Pisghetti makes his famous Molto Jolto Sauce. But Curious George finds it unsavory, and so, when no one is watching, Curious George adds plenty of salt and then plenty more salt.

Now, when Netti samples the Molto Jolto Sauce, she says that dislikes it, and so Chef Pisghetti also samples it and agrees that he dislikes it, too, before they discover Curious George's additives. And when Curious George sneezes, Netti diagnoses Curious George with a cold and says that this is the reason why he didn't care for the original recipe.

But, when Chef Pisghetti and Netti send Curious George back to his apartment, Gnocchi, Chef Pisghetti's pet Cat, follows him into his room, where the Man with the Yellow Hat also diagnoses Curious George with a cold, fighting germs, and so the Man with the Yellow Hat explains that bad germs can make you sick and suggests to Curious George that it's time to rest, but he wants to get rid of his germs.

Then, Curious George dreams of a giant Curious George, into which Curious George and Gnocchi are swept into the giant cave of giant Curious George's mouth, where Curious George and Gnocchi discover a spaceship, which Gnocchi pilots into giant Curious George's nasal cavity, according to the chart which the large interior map indicates, and there they are serenaded by the Germ Group, Toots and the Germettes.

Well, Curious George tries everything to evict Toots and the Germettes from his giant counterpart's naval cavity, but they will not leave. Curious George and Gnocchi then fly into different passageways, to discover Toots and the Germettes inside his giant's belly, and heading toward a lung, where Curious George tries to think of ways to overpower Toots.

So, will Curious George figure a way to cure himself from Toots and the Germettes before the Man with the Yellow Hat serves Curious George his next meal, and how will Curious George communicate to the Man with the Yellow Hat that what he learns is nothing to sneeze at, along with "The Inside Story?"

-----

Next, in the Country, that screechy little Allie the Renkins Granddaughter joins Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat as they hike to Lake Wannasink Lake, to join Mr. Quint at the pier, where they discover that the water level has sunk very low, and so they cannot canoe today.

Now, it seems as though a corner of Lake Wannasink Lake has become isolated by a barrier, to establish a separate pond, from which Curious George and Allie try to return an isolated fish from this little pond created by low water levels. But when Mrs. Renkins drives by in her truck to announce that she must take Sally the sick Pig to the veterinarian, Mrs. Renkins invites a reluctant Allie to join them, which is all right with Curious George and a blessing to his audience.

Well, Curious George decides to see what he can do to transfer the poor little fishie from the pond back into Lake Wannasink Lake because the little fishie squirms back into the water when Curious George tries to lift it, so Curious George takes the shovel from Mr. Quint, while he and the Man with the Yellow Hat paint the legs of the pier, so that Curious George may dig a canal from the pond to the lake.

But after Curious George completes the canal, six more fish swim into that little pond, and now Curious George needs something to stop the water flow, so he retrieves Mr. Quint's canoe oar, while Mr. Quint and the Man with the Yellow Hat continue to paint the surface of the pier.

Then Bill the Country Neighbor Boy appears on his bicycle, to explain how the locks of a canal work, to show Curious George that he'll need a second oar to perform his task at hand, before Bill suddenly leaves for a bunny emergency, so, Curious George adds a second canoe oar to create his lock and canal from the pond to Lake Wannasink Lake, but he cannot lure the seven little fishies until he retrieves a cheese sandwich from someone's lunch bucket to lure fish with crumbs.

So, as the Man with the Yellow Hat and Mr. Quint complete their pier painting and then sail off in Mr. Quint's canoe to check the pier from the water, they discover that the oars are not inside the canoe, and so they drift away, while Curious George manages to release six of the seven little fishies from the pond before boisterous Allie returns, but what will Curious George do about that last "Little Fish, Littler Pond!?"
