If the first episode was all about introducing the main character in a slow yet engaging manner, then episode two is all about setting up the overall plot of this series. The first half is essentially a told back story, but when it's acted by one of Korea's finest actors and told by the villain from SQUID GAME giving another impeccable performance, everything's good. The second half moves more into thriller territory with a hero going undercover amid some very dangerous foes. The whole thing hangs together very well and is impeccably acted, with Ha Jung-woo's understated turn standing out when surrounded by larger-than-life figures.
