Really glad I got to watch this at the Sydney Film Festival because it was disturbing, relevant and so so enjoyable in kind of the same ways that a Black Mirror episode can be.
Secluded cottage in the woods, a fraying relationship and an ever-present (ever-demanding and ever-watching) audience on social media. "Ghosted" puts you at unease from the very start and then slowly ratchets up the tension to a terrifying end.
Matthew Backer is sparkling as a social media influencer and Adam Dunn offers a more subtle, grounded performance that rounds out the couple beautifully on screen.
It's an unsettling tale for the modern world.
