Good concept & ideas, i love to mention kartini film from Indonesia as good reference which the film strongly addressed woman education & woman independence in society roles other than in kitchen & doing house chores.
In this film, i find weak quite weak in story line & continuity. Plus, color grading quite irrelevant for the time setting. It mention in 1907, but the color like in 2010 or something. Supposedly they should make it looks old & classic. In here, you can find classical script but in 2010 or 2022 color vibes.
I don't get any classical vintage feeling here. Plus the editing is not quite particular to all technical aspect & relevant subject as i saw air-conditioning box in the frame. Well, i can't pretty sure if in 1907 we already have air-conditioning system in our house.
Regarding time continuity, you can't tell when the actually times as it's quite not linear. I think it's common weakness in our local film & drama's where we can't tell actual time as the storyline not well constructed.
