Worst bravo show to date
brittanyg-3200325 September 2022
This show was horribly cast, sloppily produced, and has no story nor answer to the question of 'why should we care,' which is producing 101. No stakes, nothing aspirational and just very boring and unlikable characters. Bravo typically produces series with more of a fundamental knowledge of what makes for a good show. This was so below par that it's unwatchable. It's so hard to screw up with Paris as your background, but they managed to do it. The producers are to blame for this botched attempt at entertainment. I could go into a lot more detail, here, but I think it's worth being kind to save you time by simply saying just avoid it. Horrible in every aspect.

Cute & Snobby

Warning: Spoilers
This is a typical reality tv, American girls meet Paris. Except I will say the over privilege of some like Margaux is kind of annoying to watch, especially the whole bullying from her and Victoria about the one girl flying while testing negative to see a deceased family member. I liked it at first as the rest of the cast is very wholesome. But modern day mean girls who get everything then cry cause they're midway through their 20's and their billionaire dad tells them to get a job, and you can't even flip a fuse in your own home it's just tacky. I'm all for reality tv living posh, but I think Bravo needs to really check these mean girls and bullying antics from the cast.

Refreshing

Love that Bravo dove across the pond and sought out a younger group than we typically see on Real Housewives, to share stories of women that are in different stages of life.

What sets this show apart is that it doesn't 100% need to rely on drama that reality shows market to pull in viewship. Because RGIP leans on expats' experiences of navigating a new country and culture, that in itself are an interesting enough stories to follow.

Additionally, an interesting layer is how some ladies have a financial safety net provided from their families, whereas other ladies are dependant on themselves. This undercurrent of privilege manifests in interesting ways in relationships, the group's dynamics, and lifestyle.

This show is Emily in Paris meets Gossip Girl meets Real Housewives but has charming personalities and interesting stories to stand on its own.

I'm eager for a second season with many more episodes!

Love!!

Great show! Love all the fashion and the drama. Not to mention its in Paris which is a refreshing compared to most reality shows set in California. I really hope there is a season 2!

All of the girls are unique and share a love for Paris. As an expat living in England (I'm from Canada) its so nice to see other young North American girls living in a foreign place. I love Margaux, she has great style and I like how transparent she is about her finances and relying on her father. She definitly is an "IT" girl and I could see her going far, especially with her beautiful slip dresses (I cant wait to buy one). Adja is so loveable and has a great personality, I love her bf too. I feel bad for Emily as she seemed more like a side character and we didn't really get to know her at all (except for the drapes drama lol) I would love to learn more about Emily's love life. Kacey seemed a bit immature and chaotic (which definitely showed in her personal style lol not my taste), but I hope she finds her way back to the show and hope the best for her, she just has some growing up to do. Anya is awesome and I love how transparent she is about everything. She is very true to herself and avoids the drama with the other girls. Lastly, Victoria... She definitely seems very full of herself and very fake. Her fashion designs are so boring and the whole show basically revolved around Victoria and Chloe Collete which is a basically a more expensive version of PrettyLittleThing. Victoria could benefit from some self reflection and therapy to sort out her anger. Nonetheless fashion is a really difficult industry to be in and the opportunity to be a head designer for a brand is understandable, especially with the cost of living in Paris.
