Stella 4 star!

Pun very much intended.

A Modern Family classic and good use of "pairing" characters together. It really brings out their funny sides and who they are, making this one of the most hilarious episodes. Highly recommend to Streetcar fans too.

Manny and Jay end up bonding on selling wrapping paper.

Warning: Spoilers
Claire driving the girls to school gets a bit irritated because Hailey and Alex are gossiping. She interrupts to tell them a tidbit about the mother of the girl that was the subject of their conversation. She almost runs over a man that is crossing. Granted, that is a bad intersection. Claire decides she must start a campaign to get a traffic light on the spot.

Phil, returning from work, gets hit by the basket ball Luke sent his way that bounces back to the net for a perfect shot. Luke remarks about not having a camera to record the moment to download it at 'Youtube'. They must keep practicing, something that goes on throughout this installment never to be done again.

Gloria is having a problem with Jay's new dog, Stella. The pooch keeps eating her precious shoes. Gloria would like to get rid of the dog, but Jay just adores Stella. Leaving the gate open, the dog runs away. Gloria goes into a panic and calls Cam for help. Both go around the neighborhood trying to look for the dog. They finally see a little girl walking Stella, but she is reluctant to let go, she wants money. In the end, Gloria gets Stella back, not before suffering when she sees Cam doing his best imitation of Marlon Brando in "Streetcar Named Desire" yelling for Stella.

Cam has been trying a new recipe in the kitchen, the result is a big mess. Mitch is beside himself, being the neat man he is. Even though Cam promises he will clean up the kitchen, Mitch knows in his heart, he will probably have to do. Mitch is more concerned about the visit from the adoption agency that will come to check their home if they want to adopt the infant boy. When Lily comes into the kitchen, while an exasperated Mitch is arguing with Cam, he sprays her head with Miracle Whip, as the lady from the agency arrives.

Chris Koch directed the episode written by Bill Wrubel. This chapter is funny by the situation created when Stella, Jay's puppy gets lost and Gloria gets Cam to help. A sore Phil has to suffer endless hits with a basketball in order that Luke gets the prize shot to download in Youtube.
