This seventh episode has perhaps the most impressive sets, and best shots of 1916 Paris of all of the chapters of this serial.

Under hypnosis of Moreno, Irma Vep kills the Grand Vampire. Moreno is attacked and paralised by a man in top hat and tails we learn is Satanas, the real Grand Vampire (how the bloody hell many Grand Vampires are there?) He sets off a canon during another fancy dress ball, even as a girl stands right in front o fit, almost completely oblivious to its presence.

To cut this overlong and confusing story short, Satanas eventually offers Iram and Moreno a chance to work for him, in exchange for their lives. More forgeries follow, more false identities assumed, another trap fallen into, and there is still several hours' worth of footage to tell the story, which has already grown so very confusing.
