Pornographers call it 'chemistry' but whatever the reason the lesbian couplings in Volume 37 of this long-running Girlfriends Films series are worth watching. Label's unfortunate preference for longueurs has the four scenes running from 45 to 56 minutes long each, way too long.
Brenda James is the workhorse this time, an Older of the title, though this particular DVD omits the "Older/Younger" display in its on-screen title sequence. But that popular match-up of a veteran cougar humping a sweet young thing is mainly adhered to.
Exception, just on a technical level, is the excellent, nearly hour-long opening vignette in which horny teen Shyla Jennings seduces her voluptuous roommate Jelena Jensen. in reality Jelena is less than 4 years older than Shyla, but physically the contrast works (in 2011 when this was shot, and still today as Shyla remains ageless).
This segment gets in the usual self-plug as Shyla discovers some Girlfriends DVDs in a drawer including Net Skirts 5.0 and then watches Budapest Episode 3. That gets her excited, supposedly her introduction to the phenomenon of lesbianism, and is intent on trying out her sexual discovery with a reluctant JJ. With plenty of softcore build-up, this is a quality scene played by two real pros.
Other segments aren't quite at this level, though label mainstay Nicole Moore is good as usual in a blonde on blonde hump session with unfamiliar youngin' Darcy Tyler. Brenda gets two bites of the apple, first servicing the great Prinzzess, and later returning for a dumb finale forcing home improvement girl Kara Price to make love to her, in exchange for the work assignment. Girlfriends gives credit billing alphabetically by first name, but inexplicably Kara is listed last with an "and".
