I don't speak French yet I felt like I understood everything being said. The acting, cinematography amd directing++ culminate to this absolute beautiful story, a true gem of a film. I could watch it over and over, it still makes me laugh, makes me emotional, gives me butterflies... It's a simple story yet so complex in its details. The two main characters are fully fleshed out and the nuances are beautiful. Hugo is brilliant both behind and in front of the camera, and delivers a heartfelt and brilliant performance as the titular character Paloma. I'm forever grateful for having gotten to see this.
