Trash Treasure and all in between...

A simple story told in the best way. You need to watch this. It's not too long and the pace is keeping you watching until the end.

I bet some of you will be recognizing themselves in the characters. I hope you're on the good side. If not, then you should take action.

For the small budget that the film had, it's a good production. The costume and the props of the slum girl are really good.

The story is put together reasonable in the post-production and all in all it's a good film that deserves a look and then a Like and a Share.

I can't wait to see what other stories this film maker wants to share with us. I think I found a diamond in the rough. I will be following to see where is he going, what path he will take.

A Tale of Two Children: Highlights the Difference between Rags and Riches.
angiequidim31 March 2014
Trash or Treasure is a great short that reveals two points of view; one from a spoiled girl from the UK and the other a homeless girl from Nepal. You get a sense of their lives from their surrounding environments that the director has captured well with the cinematography. The film is shot simply; letting actions speak louder than words. The film goes on to show comparisons to how resourceful those who are less fortunate are and how those who are burdened with "riches" take things for granted. In the end is a happy ending where we see that true happiness is in the eye of the beholder.

Lalit is a good artist encapsulating the human condition in the short film format. It's a nice heartwarming piece you should check out.

An example of a world apart

Trash or Treasure is a shot film set in two different places one being the UK and the other in Nepal. The film highlights a divide between the two county's using children as a centre point example of how the Western world takes most things for granted ending in the destruction of an item. By contrast the storyline following a child in Nepal shows the effort to gain a similar object and what it can mean to someone that worked hard to earn the same item.

I think Lalit Bhusal as director and writer has done a fantastic job considering the limited budget and shooting the film in both county's demonstrates a huge amount of effort has been put into this film to make it as realistic as possible.

I was also impressed with the performance of Akriti Acharya who plays the Nepal slum girl I believe this could be a start for a interesting career.

Rags & Riches....It highlights the difference

I really enjoyed this film. It highlights the difference between modern age and the life in slums while living in the same world. Being a short budget film, i think so that Director Lalit Bhusal has done a fantastic job. The characterization was excellent and also the performances by the actors, specially the slum girl was outstanding. The story line and the camera work was good as well. It has become one of my favorites straight away. I would like to suggest that everybody should watch and let their friends and family know as well. Its worth it. Thumbs Up to the whole team. Job well done.

Keep up the good work.
