Not a film for the Deaf community
SilentBlueRose27 August 2013
I think this film was targeted at those unsuspecting hearing folks who know nothing about deafness and are likely to grief with the director once the credits have rolled over the 'loss' of hearing. This was definitely not a film made with the Deaf community in mind.

Personally, I felt this film focused heavily on the ability to hear to the point where it could be classed as Audism material. Although the film follows three different people and attempts to record their apparent differing perspectives on music and their deafness and how they do what they do (one dances, one plays the piano and the last is a music lover who collects records), I was left with the feeling that only one perspective had been shared as a whole.

That aside, the film work was quite well done with a couple of interesting facts about the brain and how it adapts to change.
