~ Absolutely Beautiful ~
p45673416 December 2022
Love love love Pamela's romantic, vintage French country, farmhouse style. Super cute renos. Love all the afters, and the befores too. All the beautiful fabric and wallpaper patterns, chandeliers and roses, fencing, garden, cabin, roadhouse, and the super sweet potting shed. I'm excited to see what she does with the boathouse down the road too. Definitely worth a watch!

And love the cute cream dresses Pamela wears. Totally matches her aesthetic. I'm inspired by her renos, gentle strength, and love for animals and the environment. Nice to see the human side to Pamela instead of the Hollywood star. Excited for season 2!

Cool Crew of People Doing Cool Things Together!
bradbussche19 December 2022
As a Canadian designer and renovator, as well as a resident of Vancouver island, I have to say this show is extremely relatable!

Pamela and her passion to bring her family's heritage island acreage back to life is not only, admirable, but us driven by great heart and purpose - Family!

It's not easy to be vulnerable on camera no matter who we are. The fact that we put ourselves out there in creative forms should be applauded at any stage in one's life. The previous comment I read by another fellow, human being was highly disappointing.

Pamela and crew. Thanks for being there and being yourselves!

Inspiring and relaxing.

I really enjoyed this show, and I found it inspiring on many levels.

Seeing Pamela sticking to her creative vision and asserting her needs in a firm but fair way was refreshing, and something I aspire towards in life. She wants a designer and building crew who will take her ideas and vision and make it practical, which is what most people undergoing renovations want, but rarely get. She's got fantastic taste and I really loved seeing her vision come to fruition.

It was nice to see Pamela's love of gardening and nature. Her respect for the property and the local ecosystem was beautiful to see, and gave me a lot of gardening ideas for my own yard. The show in general made me see my home as more than a mere property.

On a technical level, the filmography was gorgeous and gave the show a very relaxing and ethereal feel. Most home renovation shows I watch are either tense and drama-filled or boring and slow paced. This show was neither. It was well paced and beautifully shot, and the emphasis on the seasons and the local environment and wildlife differentiated it from other home reno shows.

Pass on this
mizkj16 November 2022
A woman overseeing a renovation wearing various nearly see-through outfits. Ms Anderson's claim to fame is her body and she's made a career of playing the ditzy blonde wearing only half her clothes. Really hard to take her interest in the project seriously while she prances about her property barefoot, flipping her hair. It's painful to watch the contractors, hubby and designer indulge her ditziness like she's a precocious child. Very cringey. Too bad, because it would have been an interesting story to follow a celeb coming back home to restore a beloved property from her childhood. Oh wait, that's what they THINK they're doing. Sadly missing the mark.

Relatable honesty
cobryant-7874029 December 2022
Not only is this reality tv show great at demonstrating relatable personal and contractor struggles in doing renovations, but it well represents the beauty that can be achieved by simply expanding upon a solid foundation. Kudos to Pamela for being herself and keeping true to her sexy AND smart positive persona.

The pretty gardens and landscaping and simple added touches are a wonderful tribute to those of us that love to grow our own food, beautify our existing properties, and bring back the love for nature and the land that can be lost in time through generations or aims for modernity.

Pamela's steadfast attitude and her ability to marry creativity and moral conviction on-screen in such an open and quirky cute manor are so fun to watch !

We really enjoyed watching the first season with Pamela, her adorable parents, Darren, Francesca, and the many talented contractors. Undoubtedly the surrounding community must be so grateful for her interest in reinvesting in her heritage.

Looking forward to season 2 !

Many problems
billandannemarie5 January 2023
It is really a hard watch.

Pamela obviously has her issues by her own admission but her degrading treatment of her husband in absolutely inappropriate.

Francesca is the most pushy, obnoxious designer ever. She is overtaking very discipline including horticulture.

She's rude, her taste is terrible and she needs to shut up. SHE is not the home owner and bully's Pam on an going basis.

The issue with the boathouse is that the government agencies that are opposed are doing so because of the risk to the environment.

If they approve this it sets a dangerous precedence and is a mockery of the agencies

The irony being Ms 'Pamela I'm a Strong Environmentalist' isn't following the beliefs she constantly says she avidly supports.

Beautiful show

I loved this show! Not only did you learn about Pamela's life and REAL personality but you got to watch her visions come together with a great crew. The fact that she preserved her family's history renovating these cabins makes it so special.

Oh- I never realized how much she speaks like Katherine O'Hara lol. Another Fast talking Canadian!

I hope they have a second season! I. The meantime I enjoyed reading her book.

She is one super intelligent woman and someone you would definitely invite to a dinner party. It is lovely to see her parents and her sons being part of this show.

I would recommend this 100%!

Love this show
cherrygirl-852145 November 2023
A peek inside of Pam's world is enjoyable and fun. You get a chance to see the real Pam. I came here looking for information to see if there will be a season 3 of the show as currently, I am on season 2 episode 7. Such a sweetheart I find myself cheering for all her success. Even her Mom and Dad lend a cheerful spin on the show. I would like to add that I believe the family should received "Grandfathers" rights as to the Boat House situation. All of that seems illegal. If the original purchase was on certain ley lines that should be in standing to current dates. If that were the case you could change it back and forth a dozen times. That legally makes no sense.

I just love it!

Warning: Spoilers
We've watched both seasons twice so far and I'm still going back to them. Her latest garden is turning out to be a huge influence on our Hawaii property landscape. I really enjoyed Season 2 the best because it's her tastes and not all the outside influences. And Dan isn't in it being passive aggressive. :) Fingers crossed we get a Season 3 and more. I've now become a rose gardener after seeing all the flowers in her little shop. Really anxious to see what she'll end up doing to the Boat House. And all the cabins. We really need to see all the cabins going up now. Pam should list where she finds some of her clothes too. They're so cute!

A joke really...
kate-7530122 November 2022
I put the PVR on schedule to watch this show on HGTV. It was slotted to air at 10 PM at night, and I thought that was strange for such an icon to get such a bad time slot.

The first two episodes were not bad to watch. As a trained interior designer I did chuckle at Pamela claiming that she is a designer and knows exactly what she's doing. I've seen the inside of her Malibu home and it's not exactly an AD spread. When she wanted to design everything in white, is when I really started to chuckle, because this is the sign of someone who has no idea how to design and plays it safe by doing everything in white. And quite frankly she doesn't do it well, (i.e. Lack of texture, too much cool, etc...)

When she started to admit that she drank a bunch of ciders the night before as she was egotistically flaunting around and speaking to the architects like she knew more than they did, was when I started to cringe. You could tell she was either coming down from a night of partying and full of anxiety and taking it out on the actual professionals in the room, or her years of being a prima donna we're fully showing their true colours in a space where she should've been showing utmost respect and listening and collaborating like an adult.

When the previews came for the next episode showing how she talked down to her designer and then clips of her designer crying, is exactly when I cancelled recordings on the PVR. Basically, Pamela took a turn. She needs to take a backseat in a field she actually has never trained for, instead of boasting about her actual bad taste in my opinion.

What's more is the designers Instagram in current time has no mention of designing Pamela Anderson's house. WTF? She either had the worst time of her life and doesn't want anyone to watch the show, or I don't know. But I find that very strange. Anyways the front room entrance in the roadhouse looked awful, (too many clashing elements and principles lacking unity) and HGTV did the right thing by slotting this at 10 PM.

Shame
blakemonkey17 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was looking forward to watch Pamela (don't call her Pam) Anderson return home to Vancouver Island and redecorate her grandmother/parents various properties. After all, she is a decorator/designer, so was of course expecting her to be handy with a paintbrush and various other home decoration utensils. Nope. Nothing. Just ordering everyone else (including a decorator she had never met before) about and flouncing around in not much clothing at all.

I really can't see the point of the whole show but I guess she was offered a lot of moolah to try and keep us interested.

Oh we did see her pick a couple of weeds and try out a sewing machine - which was funny to watch. (Not funny haha either).

What really took the cake was, whenever they showed a close up of her face, the had some sort of hazy filter on the camera, so that was a real treat! (Just like the old Doris Day movies). :)

Ego much?
scarletgerl-8304726 November 2022
I didn't realize Pamela Anderson was such a Prima Donna! Expecting her designer, architect and contractor (poor Kenny, you thought Jillian was a pain?) to embrace her fantastical vision of perfection with comments like "I am an artist and designer" (um, no), and, my favourite, "I am a mermaid". Three episodes in and I'm done. I'd feel a lot sorrier for the people she hired if they didn't kowtow to her so much. Oh we all want to make you happy Pamela, we need to make Pamela happy blah blah. They're so CAREFUL not to offend her. Her designer tried so hard to please her that she wound up in tears. Kenny at least commented that Pamela probably has never been said no to, but she was going to hear it during this renovation! And does Pamela ALWAYS have to have her dresses hanging off one shoulder? Who prances around their property in either high heels or lingerie and mini skirts? She's probably not a bad person but she sure thinks she's all that and a bag of chips. Oh well, that's entertainment! Ps: I heard she's now split from her contractor hubby (her 4th marriage). Say no more.

Could Have Been Something Great
Melz-23431 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This series had all the bones to be a terrific show (Think Jeremy Clarkson buys a farm with Amazon), but it disappoints on so many counts.

Everything was below par except for the filmography and sound. Everything.

The Producers of this need a kick up the behind for presenting Pamela as a vacuous, shallow D grade celebrity, desperate for relevance and reinvention.

And why are Pamela's lovely dogs kept outside in the harsh elements of Vancouver,...in the snow and rain. Any self respecting animal activist never keeps the dogs outside.

The advertorials were a joke, but I'm sure they got a discount on the paint and plants.

Waste of Time!
sdt494410 December 2022
What a sad excuse for a woman who uses her near nakedness still, especially in this day and age of women wanting equality. Imagine (un)dressing like she does in front of her parents let alone all the people working the show. Her designer, Francesca, did her very best with all the flipping and flapping done by her employer! It's amazing to me that she sold her Malibu house but can only afford $750,000 to renovate her family property on Vancouver Island. I gave up after 3 episodes for a few reasons, a couple definitely being her voice, and her laughing at everything she said.

Certainly no surprise that she is divorced yet again.
