Radu Jude tells so much about humans, death and living in 30 minutes that you inevitably feel like you are sweating in the heat of Bucharest while watching. Should a priest struggling to survive in traffic turn the other cheek in order to continue living without drowning in his profession, or are there points at which everyone will say enough is enough? As I said, Jude is very successful in searching for answers to these questions subtly and unobtrusively.
Romanian cinema never fails to convey the story to the audience, even if it is short, and does so very directly.
