Great Conclusion To A Very Epic Fight (Minor Spoiler)
Xarx11717 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, maybe its not actually the whole end, it technically happens in the next episode, but I mean that punch is what knocked Pain out. That aside this episode was somewhat a bit better than the last couple of episodes (which were really good too). That is mainly because of the developement Naruto was given in the conversation with his father. The fight was also very good, and it felt like the right time to end it. The music was really good too, Naruto had an ok to good soundtrack but Naruto: Shippuden has a massively improved in therms of score, because in my opinion the intros were just as good in Naruto than in Naruto: Shippuden. Overall, this is a very good episode that brings a great conclusion to a great fight and a great arc, there's honestly not much more to it: its just very good (but not perfect) and its one of the best episode in the series so far.

Mixed Sensations

Warning: Spoilers
This episode shows the awaited moment when Naruto meets his father. But it also shows the end of the battle, so it divides in two parts. For one side, the Kyuubi is upset given Minato's presence. And though the 4th Hokage is not glad to see the Kyuubi again, he is happy to see his son grown up. It's revealed that he manipulated the seal so that he could appear if Naruto's transformation ever reached the eight tail, and attempted to break the seal. He then explains a shocked Naruto that he is his father, the 4th Hokage. Then, Minato whiskes his son away from the Kyuubi to a white lightened place. Naruto cries in joy, but then punches his father, questioning for sealing the Fox inside him. In tears, he tells what he lived and suffered, how he struggled to make friends, and how thanks to Kakashi, Iruka and Jiraiya he became stronger. He also mentions the Akatsuki, and cries not knowing if he has to be happy or angry. Minato says he knows, he has seen everything from there, he is also aware of what happened to Jiraiya. He knows that he can't ask forgiveness, but says that he sealed the half of the Kyuubi inside him because he hoped he could control the Fox one day. He trusted his son that power for the sake of Konoha. Naruto recovers and now proudly says he can handle this, as the 4th Hokage's son. Minato then tells him about the Kyuubi incident, that a masked man controled the creature. Naruto realizes that it was Tobi, while Minato also explains that he is the one manipulating Pain too. Naruto questions this, as Pain has his own vengeance against Konoha, but Minato tells that the villain is being manipulated because of that. He also says that the hate in the shinobi world created Pain, and that what was killed Jiraiya at the end. He doesn't know the answer to stop the hate, but entrusts his son the encharge. He starts to fade (as the little chakra which allowed him to appear and act, is consumed), Naruto says "wait...", while his father restores the seal one last time. He finally fases away, and Naruto gets serious, thanking his father. This was the best part of the episode. Naruto's reaction was the expected overall, the encounter was emotive, yet not so much like when he meets his mother. To think that Minato was present from inside Naruto watching everything is kind of odd. Even if he left a hidden chakra to protect the seal, it's strange he never appeared before. His personality is just like when he appeared in Kakashi gaiden. He is as great as he was then. What he said about the masked man, confirms what Itachi said before. Despite encounter, the revelation was in Twilight, episode 126, and that was when it became tearful when Jiraiya and Tsunade talked about Naruto and his parents. It all fits perfectly, Naruto has inherited things from the 4th Hokage, but he worked hard because nobody knew it, and he had to compensate alone growing without him. Then, what Minato said it's true, Naruto should be able to control the Kyuubi in the future, like Killer B did. Now he is only 16, but he has time. If I could rate this part, I would give Nine.

Then, outside, Naruto gets back and is released of the giant rock sphere because the Kyuubi got out. In the road, he is told by Katsuyu what he did while transformed in the Kyuubi, and that Hinata and the rest of Konoha are safe. The effort takes its toll on Nagato, who coughs, and the sphere falls down. Then, Naruto, in Sage mode, reaches the ground safe, and asks Tendo Pain where is his real body, to talk. Pain refuses and praises him and Jiraiya for finding out his secret. When he attacks him with a black steel (I guess that he can't use other power because of the Chibaku Tensei), Naruto breaks it, and uses on him to locate Nagato. He was inside a tree at the highest hill around Konoha. With no other option, Naruto uses several clones, and the rasenshuriken to deceive Pain, and take the five second interval. But at last, he uses a rasengan to finally defeat him. This part has many inconsistencies. First, Naruto in Sage mode should feel everyone's presence, so why Katsuyu had to inform him? Then, Pain actually was seen mortally stabbing Hinata, so why Neji and the others said now that she has no fatal injuries??? Plothole. She should have died. Also, why Naruto got worried if he saw Pain killing her? And how Pain managed to use another Shinra Tensei at the end, after using a Chibaku Tensei? Konan noticed that he was exhausted, his chakra decreasing, so? The Rinnegan is not an excuse, Nagato really looks on the verge of dying, Konan knows it. The way Naruto defeated Pain was not convincing. Then, Sakura and Tsunade were missing, why? Nobody knows. This part deserves a 6 or 7. Like I said, on this arc started the decline of Shippuden. Too many plotholes.
