Great for lifelong fans all the way down to people who might just have a curiosity about the sport

As someone who has followed bull riding and gone to rodeos for most of my life, I've really enjoyed watching this first season of The Ride. It's been great to watch the team dynamic play out in this new format, and I've truly enjoyed in-depth look into the riders' lives and backgrounds. And as the wife of someone who I jokingly call a "rodeo novice", I've enjoyed seeing my husband's response to the show as well. He's become more interested in the sport as he watched the season and became more invested in their personal stories. I think the strength of the show lies within those personal stories of each rider. My only *truly minimal* critique would be that they should've given a little more detail at the start about how *exactly* the team series works (i.e. More detail into the draft, team scoring/advancing in more detail, do they redraft each year, etc.). These details could help everyone from someone who is dipping their toe into the bull riding arena for the first time via Prime, or even traditional PBR fans who aren't yet fully understanding of this new format and its rules. That little critique aside, this show has been a pleasure to watch and I can't wait for the second season.

Loved It

We loved the show, I've grown up watching bull riding so I understand the scoring. They could have taken a little bit of time and explained the scoring.

It took on a different dynamic going from an individual sport to a team sport. They learned to count on each others. Watching them form bonds and helping each other when they would get bucked off.

We loved watching them come together as a team and grow in their riding.

It shows the real abuse these riders put their bodies through to ride a bull for 8 seconds. Which does not seem like a long time until your on the back of a bull.

Hope they make another season.

The Ride, a riveting documentary series following the inaugural season of the PBR's Team Series, is an emotional and thrilling journey. With a captivating blend of camaraderie, excitement, and personal narratives, it kept me hooked from start to finish.

The camaraderie among the teams is truly inspiring. Witnessing their unwavering support and shared passion for the sport created a sense of unity that elevated the series. The excitement is palpable as the riders face off against powerful bulls, delivering heart-stopping moments that keep you on the edge of your seat. The emotional depth of the documentary is moving, as it delves into the triumphs and struggles of the riders.

"The Ride" boasts outstanding production quality, capturing the intensity of the sport and providing an immersive experience. With skillful editing and insightful interviews, it offers an authentic and gripping look into the world of professional bull riding.

Bulls of steal!!

Watching from the UK and ever seen anything like it.

Gripping, emotional and exciting. These teams must go through some pain killers like nobody's business.

There are some amazing characters to come from this series. You realise that everyone, wherever you are in the world, has tough times that test you. It's just that these guys have those issues as well as having to ride 110+ stone bulls. Yes, their aim is to stay on for 8 seconds but no matter how well they do, they still have to get off the bloody thing.

I really hope this comes back for another series. I need more of this in my life!!!

Could be way better

We love rodeo, but this show was confusing even for us. It just STARTS, the draft was never explained very well. What is being accomplished here? It took us 3 episodes to figure it out. Also, how about telling us something about bull riding. The scoring system is never explained, I had to google it. How about talking about the bulls more, whose score is half the cowboy's rating. Also, the standing were flashed quickly at the beginning of the show and we had trouble figuring out which team was on top. A big frustration is, during the eight second ride, half of it is obscured because it is shot BEHIND the cowboys watching. The stories of the various riders was the best part. It would have been better with more information about this sport.
