Could have been better

Warning: Spoilers
Thus far, I have watched four Sean Donohue films, with mixed reactions. Zed's Dead was good, and appeared to have achieved the goal based upon the premise. Die Die Delta Pi was definitely my favorite so far. Dead Residence and Joe Vampire are without a doubt my least favorites.

The problem is that from their descriptions, they both had a lot of promise. If someone asked me, should they watch Sean Donohue's filmography, I would have to say that they are hit or miss.

If do not mind a movie that is far from the top of the line, you can find some of these quite enjoyable. I would not recommend these films to large segments of the viewing population.

One of the dullest vampires you can think of

Warning: Spoilers
JOE VAMPIRE is an indie horror flick with a mildly diverting opening sequence that shows a bunch of American Civil War reenactors going at it. The reason for this is that the titular character is hundreds of years old so we see the experience through his eyes. Unfortunately the film then loses its way with an interminable non-existent storyline set in the modern day in which the main character hangs around in bars and does very little. The vampire is a middle-aged bald guy who looks like the usual rocker type complete with a weird earring and red contact lenses. There's a strip club scene and a little gore, but mainly this is a long-winded romance tale.
