Seriously? Just Terrible
argyjr4 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This series is already far fetched...much more so than the series it spun off of...but this episode...just absolutely ridiculous. It rehashes the urban myth of people being kidnapped so their kidneys can be harvested. The victim is them left in a bathtub full of ice with a note that says "Call 911". Are the writers just running out of ideas? It's a terrible premise that has NEVER happened in real life. I've learned to suspend disbelief when watching the 911 franchise, but this...this was on a whole new level of absurdity. The only highlight of this episode is the casting of Rob Lowe's real-life brother, Chad, to play his half-brother. Other than that, this episode is a giant swing & a miss. Do better, writers.

Again ridiculous beyond anything

Warning: Spoilers
Again Grace putting herself in a ridiculous position which doesn't make any sense. No self preservation at all. Why would she ever take that much risk? Doesn't make any sense at all again.

But way worse: TK and his "uncle Robert". He doesn't know the man, never has and then goes around like "aaah uncle Robert". How does that work? Who thinks of this bs? The way that was written and played, it made my skin crawl.

I don't understand how they get this simple concept of entertainment so wrong sometimes. A lot of episodes do really have a lot of entertainment value and then sometimes it's like someone brain takes a time out and episodes like this role out. Not as bad as the Chavez dream episode, but in a good running for third. Place 1 is taken bei the horror snow storm episodes.

Poorly written

Warning: Spoilers
I really like this show, but really hate bad writing. The whole point of a show like this is to suspend reality for a bit and be entertained. That said, that doesn't work if you don't connect with the main characters or you get pissed off at their decisions. In this episode Grace puts herself in an unnecessarily stupid and life threatening situation. Is a husband I'd be livid if my wife did something like that. As a human I tend to feel like if your life means so little to you, why should I care about the results. That's how I felt when the episode ended. I was between not caring about the character and feeling like my intelligence had been insulted.
