Warning: Spoilers
This story about the diabolical duett of serial killerism, ian brady and myra hindley, the socalled moorekillers 1960's. Its a tv documentary basicly made on stills, a few interviews of victims families and neighbours, but most of all its the stardome of the forensic and other kinds of psychotherapists and betterwissers as forensic writing etc etc.

There are non at all live motion pictures of the culprits themselves, just stills and what other people thinks, whoozing theories almost bagatelizing the crimes done .this becomes too deep and boring on the true crimescene, even jack the ripper had more specific stuff about his crimes in documentaries made than this one called becoming ian brady

thank god that life goes on and he'll choose who goes here and who goes there. I guess brady and hindleys adress will be a schorching hot one purgatorially speaking. As a historical document about real life in the slums of glasgow, gorbals especially, a place i first heard about in brian callisons books about gorbals wullie and captain trapp's war , its excellent. But as a real crime its too deep on the brain. A moderate recommend from the grumpy old man.

Highly detailed

If you want the full story and background to Brady and his crime, this is for you. Well made and presented. Covers very deeply the social and psychological profile. It also covers his history within the prison system and ultimately his death. There are a broad range of professionals, from authors, psychologists to murder detectives. They have put the effort into getting all the relevant angels.

This is a defining serial killers in British history and possibly someone we can learn from. He more than deserved such a detailed review. To the best of my knowledge no other documentary has covered the story to this degree. Very enjoyable and educational.

Yawn.....

All the excitement, intrigue, information, and story of the "Moors Murders" Wikipedia page.

This three episode series, quite honestly, came across a merely the "Moors Murders" Wikipedia page in video form. Did they use the Wikipedia page as a script of sorts?

For those of us not familiar with Ian Brady or the Moors Murders, this was really rather drab and uninteresting for a great deal of episodes one and two, and part of episode three. It's not written to provide "access" to any viewer that may be unfamiliar with the name, let alone the crimes. Granted this was written for a UK audience about UK crimes.... I guess that kind of limits the audience to a UK audience as well.

It *could* have been written better if the writers merely stopped, and considered viewers who didn't know the name(s), or associated crimes.

Really facinating

Beautifully shot and directed, this intellectual documentary series is a real eye opener. The story is told by a collection of interesting and thought provoking interviews from experts such as; historians, psychologists, criminologists, detectives, authors, journalists, a graphologist and a neuro scientist, who come together to try and piece together the puzzle of how Ian Stewart became Ian Brady, the notorious serial killer. There are lots of films out there which document the events and the gore of the Moors Murders, but this is a completely different outlook on what was arguably one of the first child serial killers in the UK, with gripping story telling to keep you wanting more.

Such a well put together series, so interesting with a wonderful cast of interviewees. A whole range of experts take you on a psychological profile of Ian Brady's mind through his childhood to becoming a serial killer. The editing is very slick, creative and paced well. The tension and drama is very well conducted throughout with great visual sequences. The subject matter is a hard one but you will learn so many facts along the way. The soundtrack, soundscape and the filmmaking all contibute to making this programme such compelling viewing. You'll want to keep watching after viewing the first episode!
