I chanced upon this movie by accident, and found myself laughing the whole way through. In the opening minutes, Rose Clements finds herself walking home alone after watching a scary movie, and over-reacts to a jogger coming up behind her, accidentally killing him when she feels threatened. Instead of reporting her mistake to the police, she persuades her loving husband to help cover up her "crime".
Thus develops a darkly entertaining plot involving her husband disposing of bodies which she "accidentally" kills. The intervention of a sympathetic policewoman could be the saving of her, but matters take a further dark turn, leading to an unexpected twist at the end. This is cleverly plotted, and Elaine Glover as Rose, and Philip Rowson as her husband Dave, both convince as the ordinary suburban couple losing control over their lives. There is a nice cameo of the smarmy estate agent boss, played with real sleaze by Andrew Dunn (Tony in Dinnerladies).
This black comedy is a real gem.
