This is "Wannabe", the 4-minute music video for the Spice Girls song with the same name and this came out back in 1996, so it's the 20th anniversary right now. The five girls are all in their 40s now, but when they rose to prominence and made this film, they really made an impact in the British music industry and, alongside TLC, are still considered the most defining girl group of their time. Girl power galore. They are loud, they are self-confident and they are certainly much better singers (most of them) than they are allowed to display in this music video and song. But that is perfectly fine as the song's spirit and catchiness still work wonders and make this video, which nicely goes along with the lyrics, certainly worth checking out. I recommend the watch and listen. On a side note, my favorites were always Mel C. and Emma.

I'm sure a lot of people who grew up in my generation will never forget this video clip. It basically cements the SG as a force to be reckoned with in the pop world. Does a perfect job of introducing their characters and quirks.
