- At the beginning of the movie, the main character finds out that his mother just died. He takes it surprisingly well. But as things progress we start to him and his family slowly unraveling. His dad's hidden affair with the hairdresser. His brother's inability to cope. And then Martin, trying to hold everything together and appear unfazed. How the movie makes the mothers death a key plot element, and how they make it essentially non-important can be kinda disturbing.
- Also the Pudwhacking part is very disturbing, A grown man literally gets a handjob from what appears to be a preteen. Everyone in the room is unfazed while it happens, except for Martin who flees to the bathroom to vomit, after a moment of surprised astonishment. There is no nudity, but it's still very disturbing.
