a Russian story
Kirpianuscus29 January 2021
A girl, a priest after WWII, in a poor village . And a beautiful, touching story of parenthood. A Russian film not only for actors, language and location, cinematography but for the essence of story and storytelling. A film about Church under Soviet regime, about a lie as piece of faith and acceptance of sufferance, about a community - majority and more seeming be woman - and about funeral telegrams with the writing not easy to read. Short, a film for not ignore the recent past and for understand the grief not so old.
