If you are not a Christian fundamentalist, the sole interest in this film would be a look at their POV.
As low budget films go, it's well made. Good effects, given their budget. Acting is OK but not great.
The big problem is the script and it premises. Most people on the Mayflower were NOT fleeing persecution. Puritans were only about a quarter of them. And they weren't noble. They kicked out dissidents or even hung them.
It's that same POV in this film. They seriously imagine Christians to be "persecuted" simply because atheists and gays don't have to hide anymore.
This isn't a Christian POV, only of some Christians. It's fundamentalist paranoia fearing they lose their dominance because that nice couple of guys next door can get married in an Episcopal Church.
So watch if that is your POV, or if you want a look at their persecution complex.
