This is a cute and funny little film about a guy who inexplicably is friends with one of the most obnoxious and awful people. Through the course of this short, this boorish jerk says and does the wrong thing again and again. The worst of this involves crashing a party...which turns out to actually be a wake! Despite all these problems, at the end there is some ray of hope--some reason for these two mismatched friends being pals after all.
"That Friend You Hate" has one huge thing going for it--you can't help but have an emotional reaction as you watch. A few scenes are quite funny and you cannot help but laugh and one near the end is quite poignant and you cannot help but feel the guy's pain. My only reservation is that the film is a bit crude...and so it's not one to show to the kiddies!
