Good thriller like a classic supernatural series back
thoraniket25 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I had to wait a lot to come to see this episode. Its good episode with classic supernatural episode feeling. Sam and Dean are good shape, conversation and Dean is back with his superb acting standing good with his character.

I can say. The way supernatural is making a progress is good towards end of this season. We got admit it that they cannot just move forward core story of supernatural in all episodes. Working of Dean n Sam on lots of weird supernatural cases is the main theme I think so.

This episode gives us back what we expect a lot from Supernatural, like creepy jungle cabins, night scenery in a town, Impala shots, goosebumps, 'watch gory scenes with closed eyes', haha, love it, and all the things I love to see in a supernatural episode.

Love. Dean. Big Fan.

The usual formula, plus recycled baddie
xaney24 April 2016
Overall, this is your generic, run-of-the-mill episode with a new minor baddie that they have to stop before it kills too many more people. Getting one last episode out of the hugely built up Cole character was great, especially since it seemed like we hadn't really finished using his potential previously. It also helps round out the number of non-full-time hunters that know what's going on in the world. It's almost as if the boys are finally ready to rebuild their informant network.

The baddie, on the other hand, is almost a direct recycle of the monster from the Angel Season 3 episode "The Price," which deals the same type of damage. The method of killing it is the same too, though the manner it's done is different at least. I kept expecting someone to call for hard liquor to solve the issue. I guess it would have been a little too easy, what with how much Dean seems to be drinking this season.

Definitely one of the more gory episodes, though not too bad. It was enjoyable!

I miss this sense of invention
CubsandCulture5 October 2020
The later years of the show fell into a templates and many of the more inventive ideas got dropped in favor of the tried and true. This episode however has a great sense of daring as the monster of the week-a variant of a prior monster-is both unique and gave this episode a different vibe. This is one of the few gory episodes and it has a much more of a gross out, 80's feel to it. Think Toxic Avenger. The body horror that Cole goes through is just great. Add in that Cole gets a fitting final episode and this is a high point of the season.

Didn't care

For some reason the name Kit just annoyed me because it got thrown at us a billion times and we have no reason to care for him. Seeing Cole was fine tho.

Too dumb to ignore

I usually don't leave negative reviews but come on. One enemy that you can't let have water Dean guzzles water in front of who mind you dean always drinks alcohol or maybe soda. All for the plot and after it's proven that this enemy is trying to take the water from him he STILL doesn't tie him up. DUMB
