Universally sad tale of loss
briancham19946 February 2022
I first watched this short film on the Psych2Go channel where it has a more clickbaity title but is still framed under the lens of mental health. The premise is simple but effective - the family's father has passed away and the mother takes out her grief on the daughter, who is stuck between her memories of her father and her current problems with her mother. The pacing is slow and the framing is deliberate to linger on each character's mental state as they process their loss, eventually coming together instead of perpetuating a cycle of hostility and withdrawal.
