Highly Watchable and Entertaining

I really enjoyed this short film, I personally feel the story gives the audience what they want to see, rather then what they hope to see but it never materialises. But above all it's fun to watch.

Despite the obvious tight budget it achieves it's entertainment value goal. Because it's been created by getting the most out of the resources available. It takes a talented director to achieve entertainment with a possible empty wallet

The locations for filming have been chosen wisely, costume, effects, makeup and music score are all how and where they should be.

A great short film and know doubt difficult to achieve, I'd certainly watch it again

Warning: Spoilers
The moment this film begins there's a vibe that speaks volumes. This movie epitomizes everything you'd expect from Blinky Productions. The mix of comedic dialogue and a tone so dark and serious, this is what we need in a Vampire flick. The effects are spot on. I really like the balanced use of practical and cgi effects. The actors portray their characters so well and really made you feel their pain and purpose. My favorite line is from Heather, "hope you taste as good as you f*ck". The relationship between Padre and Jack can definitely be felt. The ending just makes you want more. Is Jack alive? What will Padre do? Who is next to turn? I really hope all these questions will be answered in the next chapter. I am 100% "Turned"on.

Excellent take on the genre, well put together and exciting. A complete film.

I have been a fan of Chris' work for over 10 years now and he never ceases to amaze with his creativity. That is especially true of this film. We are introduced to Jack, our hero, right away in peril. The opening scene grabs you and keeps you hooked throughout, it makes you want to see what happens next. Monty is an exceptional villain, a classic one but not clichéd. I don't want to spoil much, but I will just say, the whole film is filled with tension and action. When there is a quiet scene, it is written quite beautifully and masterfully acted. It's tough to say if this Chris' best film, only because he has made some stuff over the years that completely blows Hollywood productions out of the water, but it's easily in the top 5. All of the actors did a great job as well, and the locations were perfect. Chris has such a creative eye. In conclusion, this film gets 10 stars from me because it kept me engaged and entertained the whole way through and it's easy to tell hard work and dedication went into producing it. Some class A filmmaking.

TURNED: Full of action, humor and drama
DDPhilly19 July 2016
Warning: Spoilers
At the outset, 'Turned' seems to have been conceived as sort of a return to form for the vampire film after the 'Twilight' series with it's tagline of "Vampires don't sparkle, they BURN!".

But 'Turned' is so much more. It has all the action and drama you'd want from a vampire hunter film, but it dials up the comedy with little quips and one liners. It also uses clichés in a way that is refreshingly not cliché! The key is that the actors play the gags and clichés very seriously which makes them all the more funny and exciting at the same time.

Jack (Josh Rothman) and Padre (Roberto Lombardi) lead a team of vampire slayers and are the only survivors of an ambush by vampire leader Monty (Christian Chase). But while Padre gets away, Jack has been bitten by Monty and now has one day before he becomes a vampire himself!

After returning to a safe house, Jack tells Padre of his dilemma and both decide to take down Monty and his crew before Jack is turned.

Other notable performances are by Athena Brensberger ("Heather"), Mackenzie Medwin ("Ruby") and genre star Seregon O'Dassey ("Jewel")

Along with the comedy and action, there are a few heartfelt scenes that really show the versatility of the actors involved. Chris R. Notarile also shines with fantastic writing, a great blend of practical and digital effects, amazing locations and beautiful cinematography.

I would love a full feature film of Turned that includes a bit of back story and a bit of what happens after this short ends!
