Short and simple
NurgleTheUnclean25 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This short isn't anything you haven't seen before. Kidnappers hold some important guy's adult kid hostage for ransom. Important guy calls friend at MI6 to conduct rescue. Half a dozen or so commandos search a remote building. Kidnappers armed with blades, take all the commandos out even though they are outnumbered and outgunned. It's sorta like a Kung Fu movie where martial arts experts take out guys with guns, except that there's no martial arts. The commandos are inept, the kidnappers don't seem skilled either. The fight scenes are dull slow-mo hack fests with all the cliché victim actions.

It's short so it's not a big waste of time, but a waste of time none the less.

It could be a trap

Warning: Spoilers
Plot Spoiler? A rich Arab's child is kidnapped by Russians. He calls the MI6 and a group of mercenaries go to the home where they suspect the child is kept. They are armed with automatic weapons and have a helicopter yet are somehow are no match for a guy in a leather mask with an ax, a woman with a katana, and a ninja. Did I miss something? What was the point? Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

A decent short

Crying Wolf is a decent short film, without a complicated storyline. It's visually stunning, and despite its budget the filmmakers pushed its boundaries to the limit. If someone expecting outstanding story or performances from the actors I have bad news, as this wont satisfy their needs. Instead we have some messed up characters with Michael Bay style action. The cinematography is outstanding, especially in the cornfield scene.Im really looking forward to see the director first feature with a higher budget.
