When a human trafficking story breaks in France, a TV crew wants to interview the underage girl at the heart of the sex scandal, who has returned to her native Romania.
The titular "Fixer" is the local Romanian man who helps the TV crew get the interview. The obstacles are many: the obstinate nun who refuses them access to the girl; local mobsters who want to intimidate her into silence; and so on. As the film progresses, the French TV crew appear increasingly exploitative themselves, going too far for the Fixer, no saint himself. By the end of the movie, the only really likable person is the obstinate nun.
