Short film on Selective Mutism and one woman's journey to find her voice
annestes16 February 2016
I really enjoyed this short film. The subject matter was explored in a thoughtful way. It helped the viewer gain insight into the world of selective mutism. I also felt like there was potential to explore a larger storyline.

Katie Kleiger and Gavin Nienaber were brilliant as Robin and Jay. Without the grace of dialogue, both actors managed to deliver subtle, but powerful performances. Though she was only featured in a supporting role, I thought Sara Marsh's performance as Jay's Mother was outstanding. It also features a great song by "The Voice" alum, Kat Perkins! Love, love LOVED the song!

the cocoon. and its exit

One of stories about the cocoon- refuge. Theoretical, a film about selective mutism. In essence, about each form of self isolation and about the kick changing this situation.

A beautiful story and just great acting.

Poetry in precise doses and fragments of real life situations in the fair light. A therapist front to obtusity of her patients, a mother looking for connected to his little son, a thief of caffee and cookies and the salvation of boy by bully guys, a beautiful twist and full of hope end.

In short, a film for feel it . The music helps in significant measure for this and the gestures, looks and bzcicle run are just precious details.
