Cute, Funny But Somewhat Predictable

"It's Not That I Can't Marry, It's That I Don't Marry" on Netflix. Typical Japanese Drama - Short, some humor, involves 1 woman and three men - her first love from school, a younger guy 10 years her junior, and the guy she can be herself with who is her advisor in love and how to snag a husband. Nearing her 40th birthday, and devoting herself to her dermatologist career in her younger years, she now realizes at her class reunion that she is the only one left with no husband and no kids and she takes the heat from her classmates. However it makes her think and while venting to her girlfriends that evening out at a Japanese restaurant barside table, the chef gives her an earful what is wrong with her. The chef, is the ML Naohito Fujiki who does a great job in his role. His theories and advice seem to work when she tries it out but she always needs the next step and continues to see him for more advice. I gave it a lower rating due to the predictablity of the ending of the series, and as usual, the open ending we always get with these Japanese dramas - we always seem to be left hanging but at the same time you know what it is.
