Director Bobby Marinelli and writer Kristen Wollett both have so far had limited experience in making their own films. In fact, it's the first time Wollett wrote a short film and Marinelli has only directed three times before this...and they were all shorts. Because of this, I did not expect a big-time production with huge sets and CGI...and the overall film is commendable considering everything.
This short is a send-up of the popular reality show "The Bachelor". In this fake documentary, you see 10 (plus two) women who represent the various clichéd characters you'd expect to see on such a show...such as the catty one and the brainy one. Each of these characters is a caricature of these sorts of ladies and the most important thing is that the film festival audience watching it laughed hard and often. Need I say more?!
