Like so many first episodes, this is expository. A young woman is killed in a playground by a man in a hoody. The man runs off. A young schizophrenic is suspected and he later kills himself. Interesting character development. The detectives have different problems: one has panic attacks, one has just been dumped by her boyfriend of four years, one has an adversarial relationship with a psychiatrist who has treated his mother. There is also a nasty kind of approach to the case at the station. They find out that a man pretending to be a detective is interviewing their witnesses. It sets up great tension.

A Cancelled Show after 1 Season.

So I get this recommended for me on Netflix for some odd reason. It stars whats her name from Game of Thrones. Varma. She starts off the show dating some ahole who leaves her in a lurch before marriage after dating her for 5 years when she's 38 years old.
This show is full of ahole characters in just the first ep. Reminds me of Greys Anatomy which in the pilot ep. Was just brimming full of worthless despicable people. What a worthless show that one turned out to be.
This one, seems to follow that pattern since I can see it got cancelled after 1 season.
The problem with this pilot imo is that the lead character, Varma, she spends way too much time lamenting after her failed engagement rather than the ep. Spending time on the actual mystery. 5/10.
