Every moment of the film was an exploration of culture and the conflict between those who stay in the homeland and expats who are split between two very different worlds. All of us want to believe that we will always hold on to our roots no matter where we live or work. Sing Freetown is a tribute to the art and culture of Sierra Leone. It also is the story of childhood friends who live in very different societies, with very different values and views.
