I knew this would be ranked among the best

This is the episode where we get to learn of Ghost Rider's origin. I agree with many people that it's one of the best that the series has ever created. Of course, it could always get lower. A lot of people such as myself were thinking that Mephisto was going to appear directly in this. He doesn't really, but we do get see another version of Ghost Rider give him his powers. Now, I'm not that familiar with the comics, so I don't know how faithful this is. Anyway, it's wonderfully done. We also get some great stuff with Lucy the ghost. Ghost Rider's brother really shines here too.

As usual, we get some other scenes with the many other characters and it's really done well. It might take awhile for this to get really get, but it's well worth it. It's just a great looking episode and we get some great personal insight into the Marvel mythos. At first, it seemed like Ghost Rider was just a gimmick, but they work him in wonderfully. It's so great to see this series capture the Marvel spirit! It just gets more creative! ****

Warning: Spoilers
One word to describe this mid-mid season finale. WOW. Just wow. This episode is a perfect example of how dark and brilliant Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has become. Ghost Rider has been excellent ever since they re-introduced him into the MCU fold. And boy, this one has to be the best that season 4 has to offer (yet).

I'm really not gonna describe what happens in the episode for those who are yet to see and I'm pretty sure others will post a full story review. But I'm gonna tell you just the 1 thing that it was an almost perfect Ghost Rider origin story. From the story to execution to CGI to cliffhangers. This one had everything.

And, yeah, people who were disappointed that they didn't go with original Ghost Rider and rather went with Robbie Reyes, are in for a treat. Oops. SPOILERS.

Having said all this, I really wonder why people aren't watching Agents of SHIELD, when it's easily the best comic book show currently on air. And, oh! before you forget, next episode will air November 29. So, it is kind of a finale before the mid-season ends, so savour it if you haven't watch it yet. (Blame Doctor Strange).

P.S. I'll just say one final thing. THAT cameo. GOD! THAT cameo. :D

Amazing camera work

I don't leave reviews often but I have to make a point of saying how absolutely incredible the camera work was in this episode, masterfully done especially in high tension scenes where they're switching back and forth between characters, switching from traditional multi-cam with Coulson, then swiping smoothly to shaky handheld cam fully tracking Mac and Fitz as they manically pace around, then swiping back to Coulson and going back to multi cam. Wow. Every piece of tension and emotion is elevated in this excellently crafted piece of art.

Awesome episode all around, there is a big treat for Ghost Rider fans, really cool set pieces and a great twist, followed by a season finale level cliffhanger.
