Could have been better without Patton Oswalt
abigailmoore-0237021 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what it is about Mr. Oswalt, but every episode he is in seems to detract from the quality of the story. Apart from that, the continuation of the storyline moved along a little faster than in the previous two episodes, so that's something at least. Quite sad about the May robot's demise, I actually liked her.

Re-watch thoughts

Koenigs! so many Koenigs! this episode has some delightful parts, playing on the age old joke of the Koenig brothers, played to perfection by Patton Oswald. but it also has some heartbreaking parts when it comes to LMD May and Fitz. We also get an excellent performance by John Hannah playing unhinged LMD Radcliffe. This episode also hints at Fitz's childhood, which felt significant at the time but now with hindsight it is in fact far more insightful that I expected. And we do get really sweat heartfelt moments between Fitz and Simmons, it melts my heart!

Maybe my new favorite episode?

Okay, the rating isn't as high as many other episodes, but I still think this is one of my favorite episodes. I think it might just be because of how awesome Patton Oswalt is. He is one of my favorite celebrities and seeing him work so hard to shine in these roles is awesome. I just know of so many comedians who can be really bad actors. I sincerely think that his knowledge of pop culture is what makes him a great actor. Although I know him more for his voice roles, he's great in any medium. Anyway, this episode features a lot of the characters contributing to the story and not just him.

I admit that it is kind of weird to see Agent Coulson get into a romantic relationship. I really didn't see any tension between him and May. It was still really nice to see how he was able to identify her as a fake. Patton Oswalt finally makes a joke about erotic fan fiction. I knew it was only a matter of time before a comedian who knows a lot about fandom would comment on that. It seems like more people watch porn than sci-fi movies. Well, porn stars are some of the most prolific actors on this entire website. I like how the Dr. Radcliffe robot really does literally sing like a canary after awhile. ****
