I enjoyed this journey through Bali: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects of Bali: the importance of the rice ( the terraced hillsides, the rice fields, the management of the irrigation sysem by the farmers council called soubak, Agung Pranaa-the noble who cares for the good harvest making offerings, the celebration after the harvest, the offerings to the goddess of the rice and Wayan-the painter of the rice fields-) and the life in the village of Amed (Nioman-the fisherman-, John Huxley-the diving coach-, the arrival of the tourists, the fishermen and their mutual aid, the mackerels, a good fishing day for Nioman).
I enjoyed the encounters of Stéphane with the Balinese people in Ubud, with Sun, his guide during the burial ceremony and with Maka-the surfer- in Uluwatu): nice encounters with very kind Balinese men and women.
